Dr. Kearns received his doctor of dental surgery from Case Western Reserve University Dental School, his Masters of business administration from Cleveland State University, and his bachelor of science degree from John Carroll University. Following 24 years in private practice, Dr. Kearns accepted the position of founding Director of the MCC Dental Hygiene program. He was later advanced to dean of Bullhead City Campus of MCC, and then to vice chancellor of instruction for MCC. Prior to his move to MCC, he had also served as the dental director of the Cleveland Development Center, a faculty member for Lorain County Community College, and a board member for a public library and a school district. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City.

Chuck Spotts, Vice President of Instruction & Student Services
Mr. Spotts received his master of science degree from George Mason University and his bachelor of science degree in Business magna cum laude from the University of Maryland. He received the Chief Information Officer certification in Federal Executive Competencies from CIO University in Washington DC. He has served as a regional general manager for SunGard Higher Education; chief information officer and vice chancellor for information technology for SunGard/Mohave Community College; deputy chief information officer and director of information technology for the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business; network solutions manager for Science Applications International Corporation; and product configuration, integration, and test manager for Boeing Information Services.

Lynn Cundiff, Ph.D., Vice President for Administration
Dr. Cundiff received his Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University, his M.A. from Northeast Missouri State University, and his B.A. from William Jewell College. He has completed postdoctoral work at Harvard University and Oxford University. In addition to service as a chief executive officer in the private sector, Dr. Cundiff served as President of the 12-campus Salt Lake Community College in Utah, President of the five-campus Floyd College in Georgia, and Executive Vice Chancellor of the 36-college Alabama College System.

Alan Klaas, Associate Vice President for College Advancement
Dr. Klaas received his Ph.D. and M.S. from Southern Illinois University. He served as senior vice president for development at Concordia University Chicago. He taught in the adult degree completion program for Concordia University Wisconsin and was on the graduate school faculty of Wayne State University in Detroit. His business experience includes three positions with a Fortune 500 financial services company as the director of corporate research, assistant vice president for research and development, and CEO of what now is Thrivent Financial Bank. He has been a member of the Wisconsin Make-a-Wish Foundation Board of Directors and the Board of Regents of Concordia University - River Forest.

Francisco Porras, Associate Vice President for Information Technology
Mr. Francisco Porras has over 20 years experience in all phases of information technology. Prior to joining Mohave Community College, Mr. Porras was Chief Information Officer at several institutions including the College of Southern Nevada, Lakeland Community College, Walden e-Learning and Gannon University. He has provided oversight of all IT operations and functions, including Systems Administration and WAN/LAN support, Web Development and Administration, Instructional Design, Database Administration, Help Desk Activities, and convergence of information technology processes. Mr. Porras specializes in identifing and evaluating emerging technologies relevant to a college’s mission, and working collaboratively with managers across the organization to shape programs and policies to take advantage of those technologies. A graduate of Kensington University, he has a bachelor’s in Computer Science.
