The Child Development Associate Pathway is designed to meet the education needs of people already working in the field of early childhood including Head Start assistants and other childcare workers who want to learn the basic principles of early childhood education. This program provides the opportunity for students to meet the requirements for the national Child Development Associate (CDA) credential awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. The CDA credential is not issued by MCC and must be applied for and paid for separately from this program. Courses have been included with a focus on developing an educational career pathway.
