The Student Nursing Organization provides nursing students the opportunity to participate in a national professional organization, National Student Nurses Association (NSNA).
Local activities are planned to enhance the educational experience. Membership is open to all nursing and pre-nursing students from all campuses. Involves meetings with guest speakers, community health education, and fundraising.

October 2008 SNAAz Convention - On October 25, 2008, the annual SNAAZ convention was held in Glendale, Arizona. Eleven students represented Mohave Community College and traveled to the convention (see picture of students that attended).
Classes included “break-out sessions” which were seminars on different topics. The students learned from topics that will help them in their studies.
The SNAAZ elections were held and two students ran for offices. Congratulations!! to Shelly Bishop, elected to Nominations/Elections Director and Sheila Schoff, elected to Membership Director!!! They will be attending SNAAZ board meetings and will represent Mohave Community College. There were many schools attending and this is a great honor and opportunity for our student nurse chapter. Shelly and Sheila will be updating SNO with news from the state level.
The SNAAZ board members encourage EVERY student to be involved and let your voices be heard!! Join your school chapter and make a difference in your life!
Please plan on attending the annual SNAAZ convention in the Phoenix area next fall. SEE YOU THERE!!!

Please donate gently used scrubs to SNO at any campus. You may also purchase gently used scrubs for $5.00 each.
If you would like to join an association for the state of Arizona, then join Student Nurses' Association of Arizona (SNAAz) at www.azsna.org.
EVENTS: The SNAAz convention will be held September 12th and the mid-year NSNA convention will be on October 29th. Both are in Phoenix.
STUDENTS: Note there is a change in the SNO meeting dates due to scheduling conflicts.
MEETINGS - Meetings for the Fall 2009 semester are Thursdays: September 3rd, October 15th and November 19th from 12 noon to 1pm in the campus ITV rooms.
