DISTANCE EDUCATION EXAM GUIDELINES
“Except in extreme circumstances (e.g. death, severe illness), exams must be taken on the dates listed. If the times scheduled are not possible for you, arrangements must be made immediately with your instructor.”
1. The Distance Education exam sessions are scheduled in two-hour increments; the exam sessions will begin at the specific scheduled times listed. Students may attend the session(s) of their choice.
All students must arrive at the start time for each chosen exam session. Students arriving after the exam start time must wait for the next scheduled exam start time.
If a student opts to take more than one exam during one session, please inform the proctor at the start of the exam session. Any and all exams must be completed within the one, two-hour session.
2. Students must show a Photo ID before receiving an exam.
The proctor will provide paper to students who need additional scratch paper.
3. Students are expected to do their own work on examinations.
Any student who violates these regulations will fail the examination and may be withdrawn from the class.
4. No beepers or cellular phones will be allowed in the exam room. Exceptions will be made. Please notify the proctor at the start of the exam session. If a student leaves the room for any reason during the exam, the exam must be terminated upon the student’s return and the student must contact the instructor for further instructions.
5. A student will not be allowed to leave the room until the exam is completed.
Please be sure to take care of your personal business before the exam session (e.g. restroom, drinks). If a student leaves the room for any reason during the exam, the exam must be terminated upon the student’s return and the student must contact the instructor for further instructions.
6. Students taking the same course exam will not be permitted to sit at the same table.
7. All course related materials must be removed from the table before beginning the exam.
Please note: Students will not be allowed to share class materials.
