Employer Open Houses

  1. What is an Employer Open House?  An Open House is an informative session established for students to meet employers and explore career options.
  2. Why Attend an Employer Open House?  Students who attend a company’s open house gain insight about the company’s philosophy, history, training programs, and management style.  The open house also provides students an opportunity to develop a networking system by talking with employers.  Combined with a presentation, one-on-one contact, and group discussion, an Employer Open House helps students develop a broad-based knowledge about prospective employers, knowledge from which the student can make well-informed decisions.
  3. Who May or Should Attend an Employer Open House?  An Employer Open House is generally for any MCC student interested in learning more about a specific employer, especially students who are scheduled to interview with the employer. Special restrictions may apply to some employers.  If restrictions exist, they will be listed on the Employer Open House poster.
  4. Where is an Employer Open House held?  An Employer Open House may be scheduled at the Student Center or the Career Services office.  Be sure to check the Open House poster for the location of each meeting.
  5. How can Students Find out about an Upcoming Employer Open House?  Employer Open House posters are located at the following locations:

  6. What should students wear to an Employer Open House?   Student can wear business casual attire to the meeting.
