Counseling
The primary function of the SBDC is to provide either established small businesses and/or prospective entrepreneurs starting a small business with confidential counseling in various areas of growing, managing and operating a business. This counseling includes assistance in the areas of planning, operations, pricing, sales and marketing, promotion, structure, documentation, etc. In addition, the SBDC can advise clients in obtaining commercial loans with SBA guarantees, and buying and selling of small businesses.
Our Counselors are not part of our faculty, but have had small business experience by previously operating their own small businesses for many years. Although our Counselors have fine educations, they pride themselves on also graduating from the “school of hard knocks.” When our Counselors don’t have the information you may need, they then can call upon the other ten SBDC offices throughout the State of Arizona or other SBDC offices throughout the United States. Our Counselors understand your needs and are ready to help you!
Seminars
Our SBDC has a full schedule of seminars on various aspects of small business. Many of our seminars will be co-sponsored with our partnership agencies including the SBA, AZDOR, ADOT as well as many others.
The Mohave Community College SBDC is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SBA funding is not an endorsement of any products, opinions or services. All SBA-funded programs are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Special arrangements for handicapped individuals will be made if requested in advance.
