Since the 1960s, America's criminal justice system has undergone a significant shift in its operating philosophy and sophistication.
Instead of merely responding to crime, today’s criminal justice professionals are expected to work collaboratively with the community in identifying, designing, implementing, and evaluating programs to prevent crime and reduce recidivism.
In order to fulfill these expectations, criminal justice professionals need to have greater computer literacy, possess more developed critical thinking skills, be more resourceful problem solvers, and be familiar with criminal justice literature and research.

- Corrections Officer; Admin. of Justice Evidence & Crime Scene Technician; Driver / Operator; Fire Fighter; Fire Officer; Paralegal; Post-Degree Paralegal
The certificate programs vary from 19 - 54 credit hours. It can take from two to four semesters to complete a certificate.
Mohave Community College’s Administration of Justice Program is designed to provide a student with the theoretical, practical and professional knowledge needed in today’s environment to be successful in the fields of law enforcement, corrections, courts, probation, parole, private security, and the related service careers.
Industry facts: Private industry or government employment hourly wage ranges could vary from $25.00 an hour to $40.00 an hour. Depending upon private industry and government employment, work shifts are variable.
