This emphasis area is designed to assist students in transferring to four-year degree programs in science, engineering, or pre-professional health science programs (i.e., pre-medicine, pre-dental, or pre-veterinary).

The AS degree with a Science emphasis also allows the maximum flexibility of courses allowing students to tailor their course work to meet the specific requirements of the institution to which the student intends to transfer.
