If you enjoy helping people by providing a high quality of healthcare, MCC's Medical Assisting programs could be right for you.

You will receive hands-on training and gain marketable experiences in a real-world setting as a student in Mohave Community College's Medical Assisting programs. You can earn a Certificate or an Associate’s Degree and prepare for a job working in a medical laboratory, clinical setting, physician’s office, emergency care setting, or hospital.

MCC offers the following degree options:

  • AAS, Medical Assisting - Total Degree Credit Hours is 62. 

Certificates - Each certificate can be completed in about one year if taken full-time.

  • Medical Assisting - General, Insurance Coding, Phlebotomy

Depending on which of MCC's medical assisting programs you choose; they give you hands-on experience working in area medical facilities and qualifies you to sit for the American Medical Technologist (AMT) - Allied Health Professionals Certification Examination for Registered Medical Assistant, or the American Medical Technologist Phlebotomy Certificate.
