The Mohave Community College Social Behavioral Science department is pleased to announce a new course for students that will also transfer directly to the state universities Arizona.
The Psychology 235 Statistics for Behavioral Sciences class is now enrolling for the Fall Semester.
The credits for PSY 235 from MCC transfer to all three state universities, which means students get full credit as if they took the course at the university.
“Instead of paying $400 to $700 per credit hour at the state universities, our students will pay just $81 a credit hour,” said James Jarman, MCC spokesman. “PSY 235 joins our ever-increasing list of university-quality classes that come with tremendous savings, making MCC such a smart choice for college students.”
Students currently enrolled at one of the state universities in Arizona have the option to take the class through MCC and save a thousand dollars on their university tuition.
“MCC nursing students who are interested in obtaining their Bachelors of Science in Nursing would benefit by taking our course at the reduced tuition rate,” said Jen Shumway, MCC director of assessment and curriculum. “All three state universities require PSY 235 in their RN to BSN programs and the course is also listed on RN to BSN pathways with Grand Canyon University, Regis, Southern New Hampshire University, Southern Utah University, Dixie State University, and Western Governors University.”
PSY 235 is a requirement for all newly declared Social Behavioral Science majors at MCC. All MCC students who meet the prerequisite requirements have the option of taking this course and applying it as an elective to most MCC Associate of Arts degrees, including Liberal Arts.
More information about the PSY 235 and the prerequisites can be found in the MCC Catalog.
