BULLHEAD CITY – Mohave Community College students and faculty from the Bullhead City campus hosted it’s Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) event to showcase their work.
Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday where people celebrate their loved ones who have died by telling stories when they lived, eating their favorite foods and music.
Students from an MCC Spanish 101 course presented their presentation about the history of the Mexican holiday and other traditions and customs.
MCC’s Culinary students provided food for the evening and MCC’s English instructor Beau Rogers presented a short documentary.
Art work from the art studio classes were displayed during the event. There were about 100 people in attendance.
