
MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave Health Coalition and Mohave Community College are partnering up to host the second Annual Family Health Fair, a healthy lifestyle event for all ages.
The fair is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25 at MCC’s Bullhead City campus, 3400 AZ-95, bldg. 600. There will again be many lifestyle presentations and over 70 health-related vendors and mobile units across campus. Building 600 will host fair sponsors and local community resources available. Free child immunizations, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, free scoliosis screenings, and women’s and children’s health related services.
MCC’s Dental Hygiene program will be hosting its annual Give Kids a Smile Day, where children between the ages of four and 14 can receive free dental cleanings and sealants. To make an appointment, call 928-704-4178
The health fair will host several guest speakers knowledgeable on various subjects. Eric Fox, owner of Pro-Fit Kitchin will host a “Health and Nutrition Food Prep” demonstration to learn why whole foods are the way to go and not processed foods. Other presentations include, “The Deadly Opioid Crisis,” “Natural Ways to Manage Chronic Disease,” “What is Health Equity?” and much more.
