MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College’s Bullhead City Campus is gearing up to host the exciting community event called Bighorn Trek, showcasing higher education and career opportunities in the community. The event will also feature a Show ‘n Shine Car Show hosted by the college’s Automotive programs.

The event will take place from 9 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, Feb. 27, it’s free to attend and open to everyone in the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with college instructors and local businesses to learn about the skills needed for success.

“Mohave Community College’s Bighorn Trek is more than just an open house or campus visit; it’s an empowering experience that builds knowledge, fosters interest, ignites a passion for lifelong learning, and creates personal connections with the College as guests explore the wide range of opportunities Mohave offers across the College District,” said Gary Cooper, Dean of Student and Community Engagement.

Bighorn Trek helps bring together community members, students, and business leaders to improve lives and communities. High school students from the Bullhead area will have the chance to interact with college professors to ask questions about degree and certificate options, and career opportunities.

Bighorn Trek will have enrollment and financial aid experts to help answer any questions about getting started and costs. Attendees can also enjoy delicious food from local food trucks and talk to various community service programs.

MCC’s Community & Corporate Education will showcase programs and opportunities that spark economic growth and learning opportunities, benefiting tri-state residents, local businesses and industry partners.
