MOHAVE COUNTY– Mohave Community College (Mohave College beginning August 2025) Board of Governors officially accepted the resignation of Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, effective June 30, 2025, following his recent appointment as the new President of the College of Southern Nevada. The board also appointed Dr. Tim Culver as the Interim President. The announcements were made during the board meeting on Friday, March 21.
During his six years at the College, Dr. Klippenstein provided visionary leadership that strengthened the institution’s academic programs, expanded student services, and enhanced community partnerships. His dedication to student success and strategic growth has left a lasting impact on the College and the communities it serves.
“It has been an absolute privilege to serve as President here at the soon to be named Mohave College,” said Dr. Klippenstein. “I want to thank our dedicated employees and community partners for their hard work and unwavering commitment to our students. Together, we’ve advanced important initiatives that are helping the College fulfill its mission and vision, and I’m confident the College is well-positioned to continue its positive momentum, and I want to thank the Board of Governors for giving me this opportunity.”
To ensure a smooth leadership transition, the board appointed Dr. Tim Culver as Interim President. Dr. Culver, who currently serves as Executive Vice President at the College, brings extensive experience in higher education leadership, student success initiatives, and institutional planning.
“It’s truly an honor to be appointed as Interim President,” said Dr. Culver. “This institution has an incredible team of faculty and staff dedicated to serving our students and communities. I look forward to working together to continue advancing the College’s mission and supporting the success of every student.”
Dr. Culver joined Mohave College following a successful career as Vice President for Student Success at Ruffalo Noel Levitz, where he provided guidance to colleges and universities nationwide on improving enrollment, student retention, and degree completion rates. He holds a Ph.D. in Community College Leadership from Colorado State University and has more than 30 years of experience supporting higher education institutions.
The Board of Governors will conduct a comprehensive search for a permanent president and will provide updates on the process at upcoming board meetings. The Board is committed to identifying a visionary leader who will build upon the College’s achievements, foster continued growth, and strengthen its service to students and communities throughout the district, said Dr. Diane Singer, Board President.
