Mohave Community College partners with Bullhead City for Customer Service Excellence Workshop Series

MOHAVE COUNTY – Mohave Community College (Mohave College beginning August 2025) Corporate Education department partnered with Bullhead City to offer a workshop series, Customer Service Excellence, to enhance local workforce skills and foster better communication between City employees and community members. This collaboration prepared participants with the tools and strategies necessary to excel in customer service roles, improve teamwork and enhance overall community engagement.

“This is an important initiative that reinforces our commitment to excellence, professionalism, and community engagement. Providing outstanding customer service is at the heart of everything we do, and this training has equipped us with the tools to better serve our residents and visitors,” said Toby Cotter, City Manager.

The three-day workshop participants were taught skills to provide an exceptional and consistent service levels to residents, businesses, colleagues and visitors, in order to improve overall satisfaction and foster relationships in the community.

Participants enhanced their customer service and communication skills through learning how to collaborate with team members to reach common goals. They also worked on the various types of elements of communication such as verbal and non-verbal expressions, intercultural communication, tailoring speaking to fit the customer and much more.

The workshops, designed for individuals from all backgrounds, are facilitated by industry experts and experienced instructors from the college. Sessions featured hands-on exercises, group discussions, and real-world scenarios to help attendees practice and refine their skills in a supportive and interactive environment.
