AZ Ahead
AZ Ahead is a unique collaboration between Northern Arizona University (NAU) and Mohave Community College (MCC). The AZ Ahead program is designed to advance postsecondary educational attainment by increasing college retention, persistence, and baccalaureate degree completion rates of students. We are fostering a comprehensive effort to support community college students with direct scholarship funding and services to help students persist and graduate from MCC and ultimately transfer to NAU.

Program Eligibility
- Residency: You must be a resident of Mohave, Coconino, Navajo, or Apache counties.
- Graduation: You must have graduated from high school, online school, home-school, or earned a GED within the past
year. - GPA: You must have a high school GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Transition: You must be transitioning from a high school equivalent program into a participating community college.
- Enrollment: You must be enrolled in 6 credit hours OR more to be eligible to apply. Full-time students (enrolled in 12 or
more credits) will receive priority in program acceptance. - FAFSA: You must complete the FAFSA application (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
- Transfer Interest: You must be interested in transferring to Northern Arizona University (NAU).
